Well
how about some bowls...?! My Little Black Book has just met up with Christoph Finkel and his designer wooden bowls that you simply have to have that are now available in Switzerland.
Finkel Bowls are hand-made
with unique pieces
of wood, found in local areas by Christoph, each with their own history.
As no
tree is the same, neither are the bowls. Using the wood when its wet,
the bowls
are created and designed with respect to the character of the wood -
using the
cracks and shapes they give an extraordinary look and appeal.
Mostly made from fruit trees, elm and oak, the bowls are contemporary in their look and are suited modern living. Added to making bowls – Christoph also produces life size wooden sculptures that are fascinating in their combination of texture, expression and art!
